Balder Finland
Balder’s property portfolio in Finland has grown steadily to over €780 million. CEO Juha Lehtonen has managed Balder’s wholly-owned commercial properties, such as hotels, retail, warehouse, and office buildings, since 2014.
Our focus is on owning and managing commercial properties. Unlike many in the industry, we handle property management and administration through our own organization, which allows for swift decision-making and keeps us closely connected to our customers. We believe this approach delivers the best long-term results.
Sustainability
Our properties adhere to customized service descriptions that ensure high maintenance quality, cost-effective pricing, and the long lifespan of technical systems.
We use competitive tendering for waste management services, which facilitates efficient recycling, minimizes costs, and reduces CO2 emissions through optimized waste collection.
Where possible, our properties utilize carbon-neutral district heating. Many of our properties also feature geothermal systems, solar power installations, and water-air heat pumps. The electricity we use is either 100% renewable or carbon-neutral, and our staff is dedicated to monitoring energy consumption.
New properties are constructed to A-energy class standards, with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency, recycling construction waste, and reusing materials in renovation projects.
Balder Group
We are part of the publicly listed Swedish company Fastighets Ab Balder. The parent company was founded in Gothenburg in 2005 by entrepreneurs Erik Selin and Sharam Rahi. Balder is also the majority owner of residential investment companies such as Sato Oyj and Joo Group.
